Face masks, sanitizers, gloves, disinfectants – Americans are looking for ways they can brace themselves for the possible encounter with this deadly virus. According to Dr. Rebecca Katz, the director of the Center for Global Health Science and Security at Georgetown University, “the most important recommendation is don’t panic, but prepare. We’re not going into a crazy movie situation where the world is on fire, but we may be going into a situation where there are people walking around who are sick.”

The keyword is – prepare. Stick to the basics. Wash hands regularly, keep good hygiene, do not touch your face without washing hands, and preferably do not socialize a lot, avoid it if you can.
