Turmeric-Honey-Yogurt Mask

 

These three ingredients individually also are great for the skin. Honey provides nourishment to the skin and also helps fades scars. Turmeric detoxifies skin and helps revive it. It makes the skin glow naturally. The lactic acid in yogurt helps dissolve dead skin cells and brings out the fresh, new skin. It moisturizes and nourishes skin. When combined, these three ingredients make powerhouse of a face pack. Use this pack at least twice a week to keep your skin rejuvenated.

 

Method:

 

Take one tablespoon honey, one tablespoon plain yogurt and a teaspoon of ground turmeric. Mix together and make a paste. Apply it all over your face, neck and nape. Keep it on for 12-15 minutes. Rinse nicely with water.

 

Tip: Use paper towels to pat your skin dry after you’ve washed off the face-pack. Turmeric has tendency to leave color on your skin which can soil light-colored towels. Also, apply this pack at night, for the same reasons that it will leave your skin a little yellow and you wouldn’t want to look all ‘jaundicy’.  



Honey-Milk Mask

 

If the winter’s been too harsh on your skin, you need an overdose of nourishment. Mix milk  and honey in equal proportions. Apply on your face, neck and nape. Let it sit for around 15 minutes. Wash with cold/room temperature water. 


 

Banana-Honey Face Mask

Although this face-pack can feel a little messy, but it’s loaded with goodness. Take half-a-banana, mash it well, and mix two tablespoons of honey. Apply over your neck, nape and face. This will nourish your skin and give an instant glow. 

 


 

Chickpea Flour-Cream-Lemon Face Pack

 

Take one tablespoon of chickpea-flour, one tablespoon of fresh cream and half a lemon. Mix well and apply it. This facemask is great for cleansing. In fact, if you choose coarse flour, you can use this as a scrub. Chick-pea flour and lemon help detox your skin and cleanse deeply while fresh cream helps moisturize skin. This face-pack can also be used as a body scrub. Apply it all over for about 5 minutes and then gently rub it on your skin. You will see how dirt hidden in layers of skin sticks to the paste and comes off as you rub.
