#OOTD (Outfit Of The Day): Your Everyday Fashion Guide

Fashion is no more the privilege it used to be. Although, there still is a lot of vanity around it, but it is no more exclusive for the elite. Thanks to the Internet, we’ve got a sneak peek into the glam world of fashion and style. So, if you are out there looking for fashion inspiration from the Internet, here are a few tips to help you find your perfect style, kind of like having your own personal stylist.

To begin with you could read fashion blogs. Fashion blogs are a great way of getting to know what’s in and what works. Most blogs will give you an insight into your personality type, and then suggest you the style apt for you. You can get seasonal updates, colors, designs, fabrics, brands, stores, and yes, big discounts too. But there’s a catch. Not every blogger is worth following. And there are so many bloggers out there, that it can take a while before you figure out whom to follow. Also, with fashion bloggers, you might want to find a genuine one. Many a times bloggers promote brands, irrespective of whether it is or isn’t the hot trend.

Then there is social media. Social media is the quickest way to getting to know the latest trend. Here’s a brief of what to expect:

Facebook

You don’t find fashion on Facebook, fashion finds you. Every brand worth its salt is promoting itself on Facebook. You can follow the brands you like, and you’d be overwhelmed by the information, attention and offers that you get. You can also follow your favorite celebrities or stylists and get the latest update directly from them, hear it from the horse’s mouth.

Pinterest

Pinterest makes life even easier. You don’t have to worry about being judged before following or posting anything. All you have to do is ‘Pin’ the styles you like, and Pinterest will do the rest. Keep browsing through images, and keep pinning the ones you like on to your board.

Instagram

You’ll be overwhelmed with the kind of merchandise you can find on Instagram. There are great deals too. There are chances you may find duplicate stuff, but that holds true for any other place. so, no sweat really.

YouTube

And then there are youtubers who can give you great fashion advise. An added benefit with YouTube is that you have an actual person talking to you, just makes it a little more trustworthy than the others. Again, find the youtuber whom you can relate to.

There are whole lot of other social media platforms that can help you get the fashion advise you need to create your personal style. This can take time, but do not give up. Who knows, the fashion tip you get from one of these channels may save the day for you.
